BACKGROUND
e-tainment news was the idea of founder and Managing Director Andy Poulet who wanted to create a global website appealing to users of all ages with all sorts of different interests and bring them together. Joining him are Creative Director Mattias Wilmenius who’s job will be to ensure flawless graphics & design and Technical Director Lars Ortega who has a solution for everything!
Andy – Founder and Managing Director Andy spent 12 years working in the UK music industry from the tender age of 18. In 2000 tired with the London lifestyle left to start his own online retail business which has been paying his bills ever since. Ready for a new challenge that matches his interests and former career he came up with the e-tainment news name and concept! Marrying his Swedish girlfriend in 2006 Andy now spends most of his time in Stockholm.
Mattias – Creative Director A Graphical Designer by day and loving father by night Mattias has worked on various design & communication projects in Sweden and Hong Kong. Meeting with Andy 5 years ago they have long discussed working together on a new project so when Andy moved to Stockholm meetings were had and rough plans were drawn up.
Lars Ortega – Technical Director After a couple of false starts Lars was introduced to the e-tainment news concept and at once saw its full potential. As a talented programmer with many years of experience in system development Lars can make the impossible possible! Having already developed a comprehensive Content Management System Lars has now adapted and updated it into what you will see as e-tainment news today! As a keen photographer Lars also provides us with many pics from different festivals and events in Sweden.
Our vision The main aim of e-tainment news is to develop a comprehensive information resource website based around the areas of entertainment. Broken down into the most popular groups e-tainment will provide latest news, features, competitions and interviews. As well as plans in the future for a members area and forum where users can swap news with like minded people from across Europe. We hope that if people use it their home country then when they plan a holiday e-tainment news will be the first website they turn to for information about what’s on, where to stay and where to eat etc
