Getaway Rock Festival Sweden
2010 was the first year for Getaway Rock Festival and it was a successful one - The aim with the festival is to create something new within the Hard Rock scene as the organisers recognised there was a gap to fill.
What they experienced with existing festivals was the lack of good bands, unique area, accessibility, service and concept, and it was hoped to change this with the launch of Getaway Rock Festival. Once the guests walk into the arena, the feeling of Getaway Rock festival will create an instant atmosphere different to all other festivals.
With the 2011 festival also selling out, with bands like Alice Cooper, The Darkness and Hammerfall there is a wide mix of hard rock music for everyone to check out!
Ozzy - Sweden Rock 2011
It’s really ironic that with all the reruns of this year, an icon like Ozzy have never played this festival before. So it was about time he did. With him he brought his new guitar player, Gus G, the replacement for Zakk Wylde.
Judas Priest - Sweden Rock 2011
It was only two years since Judas Priest last headlined this festival, third time all in all. Last time wasn’t bad, but it didn’t rock my world either. And I love the Priest so I want and need them to when I see them live!

Alice Cooper - Getaway Rock Festival 2011
I have seen Alice Cooper on several occasions, but I must say that this concert was one of the best ones I have seen. His backing band are always really tight and this was no exception to the rule.
