Saturday 27th June Sanna Carlstedt (4/5) It’s not easy for a female singer / songwriter, or maybe you should say folksinger, to get the same slot as Sophie Zelmani at a festival, but Sanna Carlstedt couldn’t care less. In front of a small but faithfull audience she is in control from the first second! It’s impossible not to be charmed by this talented, funny and smiling young woman when she strums away on her guitar and sings her thoughtful everyday life lyrics. Backed up by a bass player (who actually is her husband Daniel) and a second guitarist, Sanna makes the crowd sing, dance and smile throughout the show and the crowd pleaser ”Ett Glas Vin” is the evening’s finest moment with a lovely sing along. Between the songs she lets us be a part of small epsiodes in her life and it’s easy to see that this is a performer who knows what she wants. The stories are told with a confidence and wisdom that simply makes you feel that Sanna is your best friend in the world at that very moment. Mrs Carlstedt is destined for bigger things if you ask me…compared to other artists in the same genre, this woman has more balls than the rest put together, and she’s not afraid to let you know.
