NEWS - Alphabeat pull out of Wireless 2010!
Organisers have announced that everyone's favourite Danish popstars, Alphabeat, have had to pull out of  Wireless sponsored by Barclaycard tomorrow evening due to illness in the band.

The band have issued a statement for everyone planning to catch them:

As you may have heard (read on Twitter) Anders SG began to struggle with some throat problems a few days ago and it hasn't become better. He has lost his voice and is ill. Therefore, we're very sorry and sad to announce that we have to cancel Wireless this weekend ...

We hope he'll get well soon so that we can get back on tour and play for all you guys again.

Stay fresh and enjoy the Summer out there!”

Organisers are disappointed to announce that Drake, one of the artists on Sunday July 4, has had to pull out of the event, due to reasons outside of his control.

The rap newcomer has had to cancel many of his European dates, and is unfortunately unable to be in the UK over Wireless weekend

A further seventeen acts have been added to the line up for this year's three day event.

Fresh from his recent top ten hit Won't Go Quietly, dance maverick EXAMPLE will be joining us on Saturday, alongside the Kitsune signed AUTOKRATZ, dance duo DIAGRAM OF THE HEART and Australian LISA MITCHELL.

Sunday's stellar line up gets even better with Us rapper J COLE, drum and bass superstar DJ BLAME, new teen hip hop sensation FUGATIVE, US duo THE KNUX , grime MC DEVLIN, electro rocker HESTA PRYNN and Saturday's PRETTY LIGHTS making a second appearance.

And finally, Friday's P!nk extravaganza will see also see performances from one man electro pioneer My MY TOY BOX, the coolest new female on the scene SUNDAY GIRL, pop diva LIZZY PATTINSON, rockersLUNA BELLE, the soulful JAY AND THE BOYS four piece LAWSON

Dubstep supergroup MAGNETIC MAN will be joining us in Hyde Park on Saturday 3rd July. Consisting of pioneering producers Skream, Benga and Artwork, the three piece have made the genre their own. Mixing cutting edge visuals, DJing and live workouts of their own tracks, their set promises to be one of the highlights of the festival.

Also joining them on Saturday 3rd July will be drum and bass supremo SUB FOCUS. A regular on the UK dance chart, he's remixed everyone from The Prodigy to Dizzee Rascal, becoming one of the biggest and most respected names in the genre.

We can also announce that Saturday 3rd July will see performances from Jamie Lidell, Hurts, New Young Pony Club, Darwin Deez, Beatbullyz, The Hundred In The Hands, Kids On Bridges and Pretty Lights, whilst I Blame Coco, The 88, Alan Pownall and The Kush will be joining the line up on Friday 2nd July.

Organisers have revealed that SNOOP DOG will be the very special guest on the Saturday

Joining the bill on Sunday is rock legend SLASH along with rappers D12

If that’s not enough, there's another seven acts joining the line-up! Perky Danish popstars Alphabeat will join P!nk for Friday’s proceedings, whilst Dan Le Sac v Scroobius Pip, Wiley, Roll Deep, Talay Riley, McLean and Chiddy Bang will all join Sunday’s star studded line up!

Hot on the heels of announcing a collective of heavyweight dance acts for the Saturday of Wireless sponsored by Barclaycard, organisers have revealed that the Queen of Hip-Hop and worldwide rap superstar, MISSY ELLIOT will be joining them for an extra special day at Hyde Park.

As if that's not enough, we've got another twelve acts to add to the line-up over three days!

Joining Friday's line-up will be Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins side project Taylor Hawkings and the Coattail Raiders, US new wave band Hockey, Brit newcomer Neon Hitch and up and coming soul star Bluey Robinson.

As well as the formidable Missy, Phenomenal Handclap Band have also been added to Saturday's spectacular line-up!

And finally, drum 'n' bass champions Chase & Status, dance-punkers Friendly Fires, MOBO winner Chipmunk, Pass Out hitmaker Tinie Tempah, Canadian rapper Drake, Brit MC Professor Green, Washington based rapper Wale and the aforementioned Bluey Robinson have all been added to Sunday's line-up!

Pink has now been confirmed as next year's Friday headliner at Wireless.

Pink will headline on Friday 2nd July bringing her world-famous Funhouse Tour to London, and will be joined by her US tour support act The Ting Tings who will also appear on Friday.

HISTORY

The Wireless Festival is a music festival in England that takes place every year in Hyde Park, London, and took place at Harewood House, Leeds in 2006 and 2007. It is owned and managed by Live Nation.

The first festival took place in June 2005 and was in Hyde Park only. The headliners were New Order, Basement Jaxx, Keane and Kasabian, and the festival was on the 24, 25, 29 and 30 June. Other bands playing included JJ72, Moby, The Rakes, Supergrass, Ladytron and M.I.A..
WHERE IS WIRELESS FESTIVAL?

The Wireless Festival site will be on the East Side of Hyde Park, near to Park Lane. The festival entrance will be on the North of the site and the nearest tube station is Marble Arch, though it is also easily accessible from Hyde Park Corner station.
