Recently voted ‘Best New Festival’ in the UK Festival Awards, Sonisphere adds a new date for 2010 in Zurich, Switzerland!

NEWSFLASH - HEAVEN & HELL CANCEL THEIR SONISPHERE SWITZERLAND APPEARANCE

The band have issued the following statement, "We have to announce that all forthcoming Heaven & Hell European shows have been cancelled as sadly Ronnie isn't well enough to tour this summer. We hope that everyone understands and want to thank fans and industry colleagues for their continuing support at this time."

SMOKE BLOW will be the opener on Friday, 18th of June 2010 at 10.30am of the giant Sonisphere Festival 2010 at the SATURN STAGE and DEVIL DRIVER will be the first to play the APOLLO STAGE

RISE AGAINST added to the Sonisphere Switzerland bill

NEWS - The big four of thrash metal, METALLICA, SLAYER, MEGADETH, and ANTHRAX will now appear at the one day event in Wil near Zurich, in Switzerland, in addition to their Poland and Czech Republic appearances.

Metallica's Lars Ulrich said, "Who would have thought that more than 25 years after its inception, thrash metal's big 4 would not only still be around and more popular than ever, but will now play together for the first time...what a mindfuck! Bring it on!"

The four acts will be joined on the bill on Friday 18th June 2010 by HEAVEN & HELL and MOTORHEAD.

Since organisers expect heavy traffic on the day the festival starts, they recommend arriving on Thursday, 17th of June 2010.

Furthermore, they suggest public transportation to get to the festival site.
