News - 8th February - HARD ROCK ACTS TURBONEGRO, CLUTCH & SPARZANZA JOIN LINE UP!
The Norwegian rock band Turbonegro is working with American Clutch and Swedish band Sparzanza ready for Peace & Love in Borlänge. This release is the second of February, and more artists will be announced throughout the month.

Turbonegro (NO) will return to the Peace & Love. The Norwegians were last here in 2009 and has since changed the singer by Hans-Erik Dyvik Husby to the charismatic Tony Sylvester. Just in time for the Peace & Love released also a new record. Turbonegro was founded in Norway in 1988 and since then has been one of the nation’s leading musical exports.

Clutch (U.S.) is a band that over the past decade has been very successful with his bluesy Southern rock and the live side is known for energetic performances and show the spirit with the audience. Singer Neil Fallon has praised for the way it combines Chris Cornell’s muscles with Jello Biafras vibrating madness. The last time Clutch played at Peace & Love was in 2008.

Sparzanza has in the past year made ??a really big names in rock circles with the singles “Temple Of The Red-Eyed Pigs” and “Follw me”. There are going along at an extreme speed Karlstad band that’s been extremely widely played on the radio. Last October, they set out on an almost sold out tour and now is the time for Peace & Love debut. Sparzanza is only since 1996 has toured in Sweden and elsewhere in Europe and released five albums.

News - 2nd February - THREE AMERICAN INDIE ROCK BANDS CONFIRMED FOR PEACE & LOVE
Peace & Love organisers have today confirmed that My Morning Jacket is finally coming to Sweden to play this year's festival!   Joining them are Other Lives bringing its magnificent rock with elements of country music and finally Kurt Vile & The Violators has also been confirmed today - three US indie rock bands!

News - 25th January - STEPHEN MARLEY, MAC MILLER & TIMBUKTU JOIN PEACE & LOVE LINE UP!
Last year we were invited to reggae in the world performed by himself, Ziggy Marley, and this year we want to have at least as good reggae and offers therefore into his little brother, Stephen Marley.

As the son of the world's greatest reggae musician of all time has been a heavy mantle to shoulder, but for Stephen Marley has never been a problem. Already since childhood, he has been doing music, but it took until 2005 before the first solo album came. Since then there have been few tiles and now at last, Stephen returned to Sweden and it is only at Peace & Love to have the chance to see him in Sweden this summer.

From Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the hip-hop star Mac Miller. Just 20 years old, Mac Miller has made a really big name in the hip-hop arena and the hit song "Donald Trump" has over 44 million views on Youtube. This is therefore a rising star who has a bright future and now can be seen at Peace & Love in the summer.

After last year's successful gig at Peace & Love, it would be almost a crime not to invite back Skåne comfortable swinging king of Timbuktu with groovy hip-hop with strong lyrics return to Borlange. During the fall, he has been seen to do hip-hop version of famous songs "So much the better

News - 24th December - VERONICA MAGGIO CONFIMRED FOR PEACE & LOVE 2012!
Veronica Maggio will return to Peace & Love 2012! Last summer she played a highly acclaimed concert before a crowd of several thousand people and was one of the year's most successful and famous artists.

At the beginning of this week she was nominated for seven Grammy awards, which cemented her position as one of the year's most successful Swedish artists. Veronica Maggio's debut album, 'Water and bread' arrived in 2006 and in April 2011 the third album 'Satan in the street' was released.

News - 15th December - MORE ACTS ANNOUNCED FOR SWEDEN'S PEACE AND LOVE FESTIVAL 2012
More acts are ready for this summer's Peace & Love - Wolfmother, Dropkick Murphys, John Hiatt and the new Swedish secretive project Caligola are some of them. Organisers are also pleased to reveal that Sister Sol, one of the biggest female star shots in Swedish reggae and many more great acts today.

With the release today there are now about thirty acts presented, before everything starts, more than 150 musical acts will have been revealed to be playing on one of the festival's nine stages in the summer.

News - 12th December - KENT BACK IN 2012 WITH NEW ALBUM AND PEACE & LOVE PERFORMANCE
Kent's new album "I'm not afraid of the dark" is released in April and in June they take the stage at Peace & Love festival 2012!  Kent is one of summer's most wanted live bands and has received numerous awards and prizes since the mid 90's and now they return to Sweden's biggest festival Peace & Love.

News - 30th November - THREE MORE BANDS ANNOUNCED FOR PEACE & LOVE FESTIVAL 2012
Organisers have revealed that U.S. hardcore / metal band Hatebreed, Swedish Death Metal band Arch Enemy and trallpunk pioneers Breathe Carolina are all exclusive shows and Breathe Carolina have reunited as well.

News - 26th October - PEACE AND LOVE FESTIVAL RELEASE MORE ACTS
Organisers have announced today that Skrillex, Anna Ternheim, Edguy, Deportees and Hoven Droven are some of the acts that are now ready for Peace & Love 2012! They have also released tickets for more camping options, and a band wishes function is activated on the website.

Peace & Love Festival 2012 runs from 26th to 30th June in Borlange and this year's theme is A New World.

News - 2nd July - PEACE & LOVE ANNOUNCE 2012 DATES, THEME & 5 BANDS
In the same minute that Peace & Love festival closes for the year so now publishes Peace & Love the theme and the first five bands for the festival 2012th

Peace & Love 2012 will take place in Borlänge 26th June - 30th June and a year's theme will be "A New World".

Festival organisers have also announced the first five artists for next year's festival: Dashboard Confessional, Melissa Etheridge, Thomas Di Leva - Special Gig, Hardcore Superstar, Hoffmaestro

Tickets will be released tomorrow, Sunday, June 3 at 10:00 and the same price as this year will be valid until the next ticket release that occurs during the fall.

Peace & Love is the biggest festival in Sweden and the only one with an outspoken message of Solidarity, Diversity and Understanding, which runs through the whole event. It started in 1999 and is located in Borlänge, Sweden.

The 2009 event took place between the 22 - 27 of June. In 2009 Peace & Love became the biggest festival in Sweden with 41, 685 tickets sold.

The concept of the Peace & Love festival is to spread the message of Diversity, Solidarity and Understanding. It’s about crossing borders and bringing differing cultures from near and afar together and trying to get people to change their attitudes towards themselves and others.

The Peace & Love festival is still one of Scandinavia's fastest-growing festivals. In 2006 there were 15,000 visitors per day, with over 37,000 people attending in total. The 10th Peace & Love festival was in 2008 and had a record of 25000 visitors, which made them the second biggest festival in Sweden.
