News - 31st January - MUMFORD & SONS CONFIRMED FOR HULTSFRED FESTIVAL 2012!
Festival organisers have confirmed what so many have been buzzed about, MUMFORD & SONS play their only Swedish festival gig this summer at the Hultsfred Festival!
Mumford & Sons plans to release a sequel to their debut in 2012, and with some of the new songs recorded live, nothing will be able to stop them to continued success. The gig at the Hultsfred has all the prerequisites to become a future classic!
In addition, announced today Frank Turner, Bear In Heaven, and Frenchtown Films.
Frank Turner (UK) At last year's flat England Keeps My Bones, Turner's most accomplished of his four solo albums, he has continued to hone his song-esteem, and April 13, he is playing at Wembley Arena in London. And yes, there is definitely a musical kinship between Frank Turner and Mumford & Sons.
Bear In Heaven (U.S.) The lineup for this year's Hultsfred Festival, Bear In Heaven is completely obvious complement to the M83 and Future Islands. With her upcoming album I Love You It's Cool takes Brooklyn guys a big step towards a more electronic sound, and deserves the epithet of rock's future.
French Films (FI) Finnish Frenchtown Films accounted for last year's late summer bang when their debut album, Imaginary Futures was shipped over from across the Baltic Sea. With songs like Escape In The Afternoon or Denna Head Down ranks Frenchtown Films in the same high level as The Drums, Wavves and Best Coast.

It's a damn good feeling that over the past few weeks could see and hear from you about a special band desires. Nice and fun because organisers have worked hard to get this band for a long time.
So finally, now it's confirmed and nailed to Kasabian go to the forests of Småland in the summer which is actually their first gig ever in Sweden! Besides the British band, organisers also present the Danish band Sleep Party People.

News - 24th January - FIVE MORE BANDS REVEALED FOR SWEDEN'S HUTLSFRED FESTIVAL
The XX, Marina & The Diamonds, Anna Ternheim, Garbage and Stay+ have all been added to this year's festival line up!
Radio Active is the second official clue to what we can expect from Marina & The Diamonds forthcoming album, Electra Heart, which is scheduled for spring 2012. If she has previously flirted with the dance floor as stepping Marina with Radioactive definitely into the club.
Anna Ternheim has the God-given ability to dissolve both time and space with his guitar, his voice and his stories. She's from the opening track To Be Gone on his debut Somebody Outside and until final Dearest Dear at last year's The Night Visitor managed to capture something for us Swedes unification, a unique performer in today's Sweden.
Garbage is also a new, long awaited albums this year, an album that indicates a return to a dirtier and Rock Band.
Manchester's latest finds spelled Stay +, and we are damn excited to have them make their very first, Swedish festival gig at the Hultsfred. A must for all of you who have already left the Wu lift per behind you

News - 1st December - THE STONE ROSES ARE COMING TO HULTSFRED 2012!
Groundreaking British band The Stone Roses are reunited and coming to Hultsfredsfestivalen 2012. The legendary four piece - Ian Brown, John Squire, Mani and Reni - whose 1989 debut album is widely considered to be one of the greatest of all time, have already been into a rehearsal studio to start work on the set-list for their eagerly anticipated live shows. One of their very first destinations will be Sweden.
The Stone Roses achieved massive commercial and critical success with only two albums. Their music truly defined an era in popular culture and provided the inspiration for a whole generation of acts to take on the charts.
That UK band recently sold out three concerts in their hometown of Manchester with 220,000 tickets selling out in an hour - a record for a British band.

The third band in today's release is a Sweden premiere in the festival arena - FUTURE ISLANDS from Baltimore has a bright future ahead of them with their very own romantic sound and worldview. With the album On The Water has the trio created the perfect pop sound for summer 2012.
News - 23rd November - THE CARDIGANS TO PLAY GRAN TURISMO IN FULL AT HULTSFRED 2012!
Hultsfred organisers have revealed an exclusive one-off where The Cardigans at the 2012 festival will be playing throughout the album Gran Turismo. The Cardigans released Gran Turismo 1998 and the album was described at this time as daring as the band clearly took departure from their previous musical profile. With songs like My Favourite Game, Erase / Rewind and a largely new sound came Gran Turismo to sell more than 2.5 million copies worldwide.
The band expresses their common reaction at the Hultsfred festival's request and their anticipation of the gig:
"When we received the request was set-up so unexpected and fun that we had to say yes. For us it's about the joy of rediscovering a favorite album and hopefully it will be the same for the audience."
Gunnar Lagerman is very pleased to have managed to tie The Cardigans to Hultsfred festival in 2012;
"Our ambition is to offer our visitors unique musical experiences, which we initiated with last year's festival 2011th Therefore it is of course great fun that we can present one of our biggest bands, with something of this "once in a lifetime"-caliber! "
The idea and the proposal was initiated and was brought to the band of Lagerman, which resulted in one of the band selectively chosen tour where they will only perform music from Gran Turismo.
