HISTORY

The Festival Internacional de Benicàssim (Benicàssim International Festival, commonly abbreviated as FIB) is an annual music festival which takes place in the port town of Benicasim, Spain. It focuses mainly on alternative rock and electronica artists, as well as having other elements besides music like short films, theatre, fashion and art. The festival has been noted for being beside a beach resort, and having bands play later in the day (5pm - 8am) than most festivals

The first 'FIB' took place in 1995, and since then Benicàssim has been dedicated to indie rock, pop and electronic music as well as featuring artists who are a reference on the world stage

Organisers allow festival-goers to stay in the free campsite for up to nine days (three days before and two days after the festival) and enjoy the local beach and usually scorching sunshine. As Spanish times apply, an apartment is recommended as the music doesn't start until evening and continues through the night, which means the sun rises as you fall!
