HISTORY
Super Bock Super Rock is a rock festival created in 1994 and that has attracted many stars since that time. It occurs in Parque do Tejo, Parque das Nações, which is located in Sacavém, near Lisbon, Portugal.
It has become one of the biggest festivals in the country, luring many rock and metal fans. Since the foundation, artists like Within Temptation, Lenny Kravitz, Linkin Park, Arcade Fire, Guano Apes, Muse, System of a Down, Placebo, Avril Lavigne, Incubus, Metallica, Alice in Chains, Tool, Joe Satriani, Marilyn Manson, The Cure, Stone Sour, Keane, The Cult, Bloc Party, Interpol, Iron Maiden and some hip-hop and pop figures like 50 cent, Black Eyed Peas, N.E.R.D., and Patrice, among many others, have performed in this festival.
Super Bock Super Rock Festival is the pioneering big rock festival to be part of Lisbon’s annual music events calendar. Each year the bands are better and the crowd gets bigger, the 2007 edition is a perfect example as the first act featured Metallica and a crowd of over 50.000 rock fans.
