HISTORY OF STORÅSFESTIVALEN

Storåsfestivalen was first held in July 2004. Festival founder Sveinung Sundli were joined by the village Storås by volunteers, and the result surprised many. Nearly 6000 people visited the festival newcomer.

Storåsfestivalen 2005 was extended to a three-day festival, and took Norway by storm, the 18,000 festival days passed away, among other things, resulted in a documentary on NRK Lydverket. The tremendous public support for continuing the next two years, and Storåsfestivalen 2007 was the largest with over 30,000 visitors ....

Storås is a village in the municipality of Meldal in Sør-Trøndelag. It is located on Highway 65 and River Orkla, eight kilometers northwest of the municipal center in Meldal.

GETTING TO STORÅSFESTIVALEN

There are several ways to get to Storåsfestivalen.

If you come from the north or the south perhaps the simplest is to take the bus from Trondheim. These range from Trondheim Central Station (bus and train) in the middle of Trondheim. Coming to the festival from Møre edge, has Nettbuss an offer to you.

Storåsfestivalen also set up special buses to make the road easy for you, and it is set up special night buses to Trondheim. Check www.nettbuss.no for more information on bus in the region. More detailed information will come when the summer festival is approaching.
