Highfield Festival

HISTORY

A relaxed atmosphere, a dreamlike location right on the waterfront of the Hohenfelden Reservoir and a superb alternative line up: the HIGHFIELD FESTIVAL is the biggest Independent-Rock-Festival of East of Germany.

The wonderful dreamscape, the beach, the lake and of course the spectacular artists like MUSE, PLACEBO, KORN, FAITHLESS, MOTORPSYCHO, FARIN URLAUB, NIGHTWISH, SEEED attracts more than 20.000 visitors every year.

Also for most of the bands and artists the HIGHFIELD Festival is one of the most attractive Festivals of Germany.

TRAVELLING BY CAR

Journey from the west:

Take the A4 freeway towards Dresden. Exit Erfurt-Ost towards Kranichfeld. Shortly before Hohenfelden follow the signs to the parking ground and camping areas.

Journey from the east:
Take the A4 freeway towards Erfurt/Eisenach. Exit Nohra towards Bad Berka and Kranichfeld. Shortly before Hohenfelden follow the signs to the parking ground and camping areas.

TRAVELLING BY TRAIN

Travelling by train can save you money, protects our environment and you help us to avoid traffic jams. We recommend using a rail ticket: check out possible discounts for early booking, for groups, weekend tickets and regional offers like the Thüringen-Ticket.

Get off the train at Erfurt Hauptbahnof and take the bus towards Kranichfeld/Hohenfelden. Between Erfurt station and Kranichfeld/Hohenfelden runs the bus no. 155 & 163. Duration: 30 minutes.

On all three days there will be an additional shuttle-service from the festival main entrance to Erfurt station (depature: 30 minutes after the last concert).
