NEWS - 26th May - ROCK EN SEINE ADDS 7 MORE ACTS & LOCAL FRENCH TALENT

The American trio BLONDE REDHEAD, the swedish queen of folk LYKKE LI, the young talents  GROUPLOVE, SMITH WESTERNS and CAGE THE ELEPHANT, the bresilian girls of CSS, the french flokband HERMAN DUNE will be at Rock en Seine this summer. Tickets are still on sale, don’t wait to book it!

Every year, the festival put the highlight on 6 very good bands bands from France. These young bands are included to the official schedule of the festival, and earn the opportunity to meet their audience. Let’s discover the best of french scene with MYRA LEE, BIRDY HUNT, BEAT MARK, CONCRETE KNIVES, FRANCOIS AND THE ATLAS MOUNTAINS and THE FEELING OF LOVE.

NEWS - 15th March - ROCK EN SEINE ANNOUNCES FIRST BANDS FOR THIS YEAR'S FESTIVAL

The first bands who have confirmed they’ll be there at Rock en Seine on 26, 27 and 28 August 2011 are : FOO FIGTHERS, ARCTIC MONKEYS, THE KILLS, INTERPOL, DEFTONES, COCOROSIE, BIG AUDIO DYNAMITE, KEREN ANN, ANNA CALVI, MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE, PAUL KALKBRENNER.

A new Stage - Last year, the festival has been sold out very early in the summer, and a lot of people have been disappointed not to get tickets. That’s why the festival’s staff has decided to built one fourth stage! The festival become bigger, but the gaRden remains peaceful. The new stage will be built in a wonderful place inside the trees. 15 bands will play on this stage during the 3 days of the festival: a very good news for 3-day passes owners!. More information about this stage will be online in the next months on the website of the festival.

3-day passes on sale now - 3-day passes for the festival will be on sale at 10am on the 15th of March! Tickets and camping passes are available on the website of the festival. One-day tickets will be available later.

HISTORY
 

The Rock en Seine festival is a two or three-day Rock 'n roll festival started in 2003 and held at Domaine National de Saint-Cloud, Château de Saint-Cloud's park just outside Paris, inside the garden designed by Le Nôtre. It is the festival at which Oasis split up on the 28th August 2009 after Liam and Noel Gallagher had a fight just before they were due to headline the main stage.

The name is a pun, based on the similar pronunciation in French of the words scène and Seine (the river separating Saint-Cloud from Paris after which département Hauts-de-Seine is called).
