NEWS - 16th February - SAUNA OPEN AIR METAL FESTIVAL ADDS 8 MORE TO THE LINE UP
Joining the previously announced legends Ozzy Osbourne, Helloween, Judas Priest, and Saxon, organisers have revealed 8 more bands lined up for this year’s festival – OMNIUM GATHERUM, DORO (GER), CAVALERA CONSPIRACY (BRA), RYTMIHÄIRIÖ, MOKOMA, TAROT, BLAKE, ANTHRIEL

The running order has also been announced, so you can pick your favourite bands and find out what day they are playing!

HISTORY

Sauna Open Air Metal Festival, shortly Sauna Open Air or just Sauna, has become one of the largest music festivals dedicated only to metal and related styles of music in the Nordic countries. It was first arranged in 2004 and takes place in the Ratinanniemi park in Tampere, Finland. On June 8-10 in 2006, over 20,000 metalheads arrived to watch such bands as Cradle of Filth, Finntroll, Iggy & The Stooges, Lordi, Twisted Sister and W.A.S.P..

In 2007, the festival gathered an audience of over 22 000 people, the record of the Sauna festival

HOW TO GET THERE

Direct flights to Tampere (-Pirkkala) airport:

You can easily arrive to Tampere city centrum either by bus or by train.

Sauna Open Air Metal Festival venue is in Eteläpuisto.

There is only 5-10 minutes walk from bus station to festival area. From train station it takes only 15-20 minutes walk.

To those who'll arrive by car, we are sorry to inform that we don't have any specific parking area near festival venue.

Concerts in Eteläpuisto park last until 10pm.
