Qstock Festival

HISTORY

From 1973 to 1991 a festival called Kuusrock was held in Kuusisaari, Oulu. The festival was one of the most important ones of its' era, and when it went under, the rock fans of northern Finland suffered a severe blow. Finally in 2003 a new festival called Qstock took its' first steps, and those steps were taken in the same location.

Qstock is a rock festival in Northern Finland and it is held in Kuusisaari which is located in the city of Oulu, the capital of Northern Finland. Qstock has rapidly won over the music fans and the festival has actually been sold out for the past five years. Two day festival has a capacity of 22 000 visitors. In 2006- 2007 some of the main acts were Motörhead, The Cardigans, Paradise Lost, Turbonegro, The Rasmus and Celtic Frost.

Kuusisaari is the same place where the legendary Kuusrock festival took place. During the seventies and eighties bands like Alice Cooper, Procol Harum, Scorpions, Death Angel, Iron Maiden and many more visited Kuusisaari.

Established in 2006 Qstock plays Rock & Pop music to 10,000 people over 2 days and 2 stages in July.
