News - 12th December - FIRST 3 ARTISTS NAMED FOR NIBE FESTIVAL 2012
With the first 1000 tickets selling in less than 12 hours, festival organisers have now released the first 3 artists for next years festival!

TV-2 - TV-2 played last Nibe in 2008. As usual it was a wonderful, evocative and ecstatic celebration as we look forward to repeat this summer. The concert in Nibe is also one of the few concerts this summer. TV-2 plays Main Stage Saturday.

The Blue Van - Gradually, The Blue Van almost acquired the status as house band at the Little Fatty. We are fortunately not around this truly breathtaking and unique live band in 2012. The Blue Van play Nibe - probably Blue Stage.

Sys Bjerre - The sympathetic "in-between-the-edge-singer" is back at the festival as one of the first presented her up for the big breakthrough. I wonder if we will hear more of Sys in Nibe. Otherwise we'll do it in any event on Saturday 7th in July.

HISTORY

The Nibe Festival is the largest festival in Northern Jutland. It is an event cherishing awesome experiences, new initiatives, proud traditions and look after the audience. The festival takes place in a beautiful wood, Skalskov, a couple of hundred metres from the centre of Nibe, which is located by an inlet, Limfjorden. The festival is much more than just music. There are theme bars, nature at its finest, events, intimacy and presence. It is four awesome days filled with music, atmosphere and people.

About 100 bands are performing on five stages. In recent years, more focus has been placed on rock with names like Kashmir, D-A-D, Sort Sol, The Raveonettes, The Cardigans, Briskeby, Carpark North, Tim Christensen and Lisa Miskovsky. The festival also features a wide range of popular bands. When the moon is up, focus is on upcoming artists, Danish as well as international bands.

Each year Nibe aims at putting together a programme, which satisfies both a mature and a young audience. The primary audience
is between 18 and 30 years old.
